International year of pulses and pulses as your perfect diet

When it comes the matter of health UNO has rendered great services. Although, World Health Organization(WHO) is directly playing its role in health sector but there are many other fields where UNO is directly or indirectly contributing to promote good health and lifestyle of the peoples of this universe. So is about the International year of pulses. In the 68th Session of United Nations General Assembly which was held in 2013 made the year 2016 as a year of pulses.


As it was related with the food so Food and Agriculture Organization(FAO) was given the task to make the year of 2016 a perfect year of pulses. So FAO took many initiatives to complete this task. From production to use of pulses in diet, every aspect was completely covered. This highlighted the importance of pulses in diet. 

Pulses are mostly grains. They have all the nutrients which can be counted in perfect diet. Generally, pulses are cooked or oil is extracted from pulses which is widely used in daily food and cooking. When we count the pulses in respect with protein, these low fat proteins . There are many other fibers, vitamins and minerals which can be taken from pulses. pulses are often recommended 5 A day. 

Even pulses are suggested to loose the weight. Like beans are valuable suggestion which help you to reduce your weight. Similarly, few of the pulses are widely advises as source of fiber in body. Your body sometime need certain minerals which can easily be provided by the use of pulses. These all pulses provide you protein in very decent manner. 

As pulses help to reduce the cholesterol level so heart surgeons would often recommend their use to heart patient. Even it is considered one of the best diet plan for the heart patients. Because a place where it is decreasing cholesterol level, there it is helping to maintain protein needs of the body. 

Declaring year of 2016 as International year of pulses by United Nations Organization(UNO) clearly reflects that UNO is taking deep interest in food provision of the people. It is where suggesting people to adopt multi-pronged approach towards diet , there it is providing peoples information about safe and healthy diets in world.
